Frequently Asked Questions
What time will the trailer be delivered?
Estimated parking times are assigned and emailed to you shortly before your stay. Please email or call our office for your parking time window the week of your rental if you dont receive your email. We generally park trailers daily in the afternoon hours. If you plan to arrive to the area early, make plans for breakfast or lunch and maybe some sightseeing. Fridays and Saturdays are extremely busy arrival days and trailers can be delivered as late as 6:00pm.
I have a campground and space number reserved.
If you have already made campsite reservations and were given a space number, call our office and give us that information. If you provided the space number when you made your reservation, we should have it on file. We may be able to park the trailer ahead of your arrival to the area, but will generally stay within your original parking time window assigned. Be sure to let us know if the space is reserved under another name.
Do I need to wait at the campsite until you deliver the trailer?
No. Please don’t wait for us. Go enjoy your day! Just don’t leave anything in the campsite we can’t move (like your car). This will delay us parking your trailer.
What time is check out?
This time is also assigned and emailed to you shortly before your stay and based on availability. Generally check out times are between 8:00-10:00am. Our check out times are different than the campground times so make sure to check your paperwork left in the trailer or call our office if you are unsure. Checking out late can result in a Late Check Out Fee.
What is included in the trailer rental?
Each trailer comes fully equipped with a basic set of dishes, eating and cooking utensils to accommodate the number of people the trailer sleeps. There is also a basic set of pots and pans, and a stove-top coffee pot. We provide one complimentary roll of paper towels, toilet paper, bar of bath soap, and dish soap. NONE of our trailers include linens, pillows, or towels. Our Ultimate line of rentals include the above “kitchen items” as well as, a generator, BBQ, table, mat, camp chairs, and lounge chairs.
How much fresh water is included and will I need to refill the tank?
The fresh water tank will be filled and holds approximately 40 gallons. Depending on your usage, you may need to refill the tank during your stay. We supply a 50ft water hose for refilling the trailer’s fresh water holding tank, along with a jug and funnel in case the water tap is too far from the trailer or there is not one at your campground.
What do I do with the Gray and Black Water?
Your trailer comes equipped with a gray water (shower and sink water) collection tank built into the trailer. This tank will hold approximately 30-40 gallons. The black water holding tank (toilet water) will also hold approximately 30-40 gallons. If you exceed the capacity of the holding tanks you will need to arrange to have us dump the tank(s). This is a service provided for an additional service fee and scheduled during our normal business hours. With proper conservation, you should not need to have either of the tanks emptied during your stay.
Will I have power in the trailer?
Yes. All our trailers have a 12 volt battery power system. The 12 volt batteries along with the propane system, will operate your lights, water heater, water pump, heater (furnace), refrigerator/freezer, and stove and oven; however, this will not operate your wall outlets. Standard appliances such as cell phone chargers, TV/DVD’s, microwaves, CPAP machines, etc. will not work. If you are not sure if you have hook-ups, would like to rent a generator, or will be bringing your own generator, please call us at (760) 935-4890 for more information. All Ultimate models are delivered with a generator.
My alarms are going off in the trailer, what do I do?
Your trailer is equipped with a smoke detector, a carbon monoxide detector and a propane detector. Many things can cause the alarms to go off. First off, there is a button on each that you can push to silence the alarm. Next air out the trailer. Try and establish what may have set the alarm off and which alarm. Many household items like sunscreen, perfume, bug spray, air freshener etc can set off the alarms. Exhaust from a generator coming into the trailer, or having many appliances running in the trailer and not having a window or vent cracked can also sometimes cause alarms to go off. A low battery can also do the same. If you smell propane, check and make sure the burners on the stove and inside the oven are not on. The propane can be shut off at the tanks. If one of the alarms does go off, please give our office a call.
Food storage and critters…
There are many critters from mice, chipmunks, squirrels, raccoons, deer, bears, flies, mosquitos etc that know that trailers are warm and have food. Unfortunately they are part of the area. We recommend keeping all food wrapped and stored in high cabinets in the trailer or in the bear box at your campsite. Make sure to shut windows and the door when away from camp. Bears have been known to climb on in especially if they see food left out. Trailers are not air tight, so keeping things stored properly will help with keeping critters out.
I need the electrical outlets. How will they work?
They will work only if you have electrical hook-ups at your campsite OR you rent or bring a generator (3000 watt generator is recommended to ensure proper power due to high altitude and large trailers). All Ultimate model trailers come equipped with a 3000 watt generator.
