Generally, in campsites that have fire rings you may have a campfire. In unusually dry or windy times, local agencies or the Forest Service may prohibit campfires altogether. Some campgrounds require you to obtain a fire permit to have a campfire. This is a free service but does require you to fill out some information and keep it on file with the local agencies. Check with your campground host during your stay for specific information.
