 CROWLEY LAKE, CONVICT LAKE, ROCK CREEK AREA

            South of the town of Mammoth Lakes, 10 to 20 miles, but in the High Sierras, ranging in altitude from 7000’ to 9000’.

Convict Lake Campground

            One of the more popular campsites in the Sierras.  Most sites tucked amongst large bushes and some trees.  Great fishing both in the Convict Creek and in Convict Lake.  Subject to wind at times…awnings not recommended to be used.  Next to the Restaurant at Convict Lake, one of our favorites, somewhat pricey, and the Convict Lake Store.  Boat rentals and lots of deer roaming around.
