Campgrounds We Serve

Surrounded by the rugged beauty of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the Mammoth Lakes area is the perfect base camp to explore the beauty of California. Centrally located, Mammoth Lakes is less than a day’s drive to such spectacular wonders as Devil’s Postpile, Yosemite National Park, Mono Lake, the ghost town of Bodie, the historic Bridgeport courthouse, a number of gold and silver mines scattered throughout the local mountains, and Mammoth Mountain. Mammoth Lakes is approximately 30 minutes north of Bishop and 15 minutes south of the June Lake Loop. Nearby are Lee Vining, Crowley Lake, Convict Lake, and Rock Creek. Summer Adventures include mountain biking, tennis, golf, fishing, backpacking, climbing, hiking, horseback riding, kayaking, water skiing, and off-road vehicle exploring.

Adventure In Camping does not own or operate any of following campgrounds. All information provided in the following chart is subject to change, may be wrong, and is offered as a guide. It is your responsibility to determine whether the campsite works for your needs. Adventure In Camping assumes no responsibility for closures or changes in campground rules or regulations.

Note regarding drought and water restrictions: Forest Service campgrounds with potable water supply are advertising water restrictions and asking campers with RV’s not to refill their water tanks. Adventure in Camping recently asked about the details of the restrictions; however, Inyo National Forest representatives had little details and referred to the blanket statement on the campground reservation websites.  In campgrounds where potable water is offered, water will remain on with restroom and spigot use available.  It is unclear at this time how the campgrounds plan to restrict the refilling of RV water tanks. Campers should plan to use water in moderation and may not be able to use the hose for refilling the tank. During your vacation, your trailer will be delivered with a full fresh water tank.  Most water tanks have a 40-50 gallon capacity.  This amount of water can last several days to a week with proper conservation. There are several privately owned full hook up RV parks in the area and offer an alternative to water refilling issues.  If you are concerned about water usage, storage and refilling, you may want to consider camping in an RV park versus a dry campground.
